The Range

In addition to the Beemster cheese sandwich, other Beemster cheese products, such as a ham and cheese sandwich and a mini-cheese sandwich, have also been created but the development process is ongoing with new dough types and fillings of various types of Beemster cheese.

The Beemster cheese sandwich co-developed by  Pruvé  and CONO (the owners of the Beemster brand) has become a real classic. By combining Pruvé’s experience in crispy puff pastry and CONO Cheesemakers’ expertise, a premium cheese sandwich was created. The crust and filling go together perfectly to achieve a good bite and delicious full-bodied flavour.

About Beemster cheese

Beemster cheese is made by a small cooperative in the Beemster polder. The cheese is made from 100% North Holland meadow milk, which means that the cows graze on fresh grass as much as possible. The blue sea clay underneath the tender grass where the cows graze, may be the secret to the taste of Beemster premium cheeses. You can call it salty or stubborn. It is unique in any case. The farmers take extra care of the cows, ensuring that from the blades of grass to the cheese, all is as sustainable as possible. In 2020, CONO Cheesemakers wss the first dairy organization to make a certified climate neutral cheese. We believe you can taste this respect and care for our environment and climate in the cheese.
